Polina, LMT - Massage Therapist
Polina is a graduate of the prestigious Swedish Massage Institute and specializes in "Therapeutic" massage. Therapeutic massage is based on anatomical and physiological knowledge of the body. It provides benefits that remain in effect after the session is over in the form of reduced pain, better posture, restored functionality and faster recovery.
Polina combines the following modalities in her individualized treatment: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Sports, Trigger Point therapy, Myofascial and Acupressure. She also enjoys doing traditional Shiatsu sessions, for both treatment and general balance/relaxation.
Her strategy is to individualize each session based on physical assessment and conversation with the client. Treatment begins by discussing your symptoms, contributing factors and activity levels. During the massage, she will test your range of motion and the elasticity of your soft tissue. Her treatment is always based upon your goals. For athletes, she focuses on the muscles and structures most heavily stressed by your sport in order to maximize the value and the experience of each treatment.
