Discover Mat Pilates at Equilibrium

Recovering from surgery, living with chronic pain, or just feeling stiff can make traditional workouts frustrating. Many people are told to “push through” — only to end up more sore or fatigued.

Our Mat Pilates program offers a safer, smarter path—tailored to your body and your goals.

Sessions build core strength, mobility, and body awareness while respecting joint limitations and post-operative guidelines. We offer one-on-one private sessions in our clinic or in the comfort of your own space at home!

Every plan is customized with collaboration from your physical therapist if you have an ongoing plan of care, so your Pilates work blends seamlessly with any ongoing rehabilitative or fitness routine. Start moving better, feeling stronger, and enjoying activity again—without the setbacks.

What Is Pilates?

Pilates is a low-impact, mind-body exercise method that targets the deep stabilizing muscle of the core to improve posture, mobility, and functional strength. Performed mainly on a mat with small props, it helps you build strength from the inside out without stressing joints or surgical sites.

Key benefits include:
    • Core stability and spinal support
    • Better balance and body awareness
    • Increased flexibility and joint mobility
    • Low-impact, full-body conditioning
    • Posture correction
    • Gentle cross-training
    • Injury-prevention strengthening
    • Prenatal and post-natal safety
    • Bone-loading for osteopenia/osteoporosis
    • Pain-free exercise for arthritis
    • Smooth transition from physical therapy

Our Treatment Philosophy

Traditional workouts often push intensity before control, leading to setbacks.

We focus on:
  • Assessing individual goals and limitations first
