Dr. Mikayla George, PT, DPT, OCS
Dr. Mikayla George graduated from Regis University with her Doctor of Physical Therapy. Prior to this, Mikayla received a BA in Human Biology with an emphasis in Human Performance from Stanford University. She is a board certified clinical specialist in Orthopedics and possesses advanced certifications in sports rehabilitation and performance enhancement. Mikalys completed a coveted orthopedic and sports postgraduate residency at Texas PT Specialists and is currently obtaining her fellowship through the prestigious American Academy of Manual Physical Therapist (AAOMPT). Mikayls will be one of only 1,700 manual therapy fellows in the united states.
Mikalya enjoys treating patients with a variety of orthopedic and sports injuries. She has completed continuing education in concussion management, manual therapy, and pain science including the management of persistent pain.
Over her career, Mikayla has practiced in a variety of outpatient orthopedic settings in Colorado, Missouri, Kansas and most recently Texas. She has also provided medical coverage for a number of athletic events including marathons, 5ks and at the 2014 World Lacrosse Championships. She is also an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapists (AAOMPT).
Mikayla's unique practice style places special emphasis on collaborative relationships with her patients. She works hard to tailor each session's hands-on time, exercises and home program to align with each patient's body type, personality, functional goals and/or sport. She firmly believes that she can learn from each patient's story and looks forward to building relationships with every patient she comes into contact with.
Outside of clinic, Mikayla enjoys hiking, biking and adventures with her husband and her dog Lucy.
